About Wyatt:
Wyatt was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY into a family of musicians going back for generations and has been studying music his whole life. As a jazz trumpet player he's been performing with various ensembles in clubs and venues all over New York City since the age of 13.
Wyatt is a proud graduate of Fiorello LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in NYC (class of '23) where he played in The Philharmonic Orchestra, The Jazz Orchestra, The Wind Symphony, The Brass Ensemble, The Gospel Chorus Band and The Jazz Ensemble Pit Orchestra. At LaGuardia he was awarded the Scott Shukat Memorial Composers Award and the Class of 2023 Graduation Award for Outstanding Achievement in Instrumental Music.
He's a two-time recipient of a National YoungArts Award (Classical Composition & Jazz Composition), a three-time winner of a Downbeat Magazine Student Music Award (once for "Outstanding Composition" and twice in the "Latin Group" category with the Afro-Latin Jazz Fat Cats), and a 1st prize winner for Composition in the Caneres International Music Competition, Vienna.
Wyatt is currently attending the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY for jazz trumpet and as a "Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media" major with a focus on composition.
